On March 4, 2024, the TSA TWIC CA 1 Signing Certificate expired without a replacement or update, causing some registered TWIC cards to fail validation across multiple systems.  As such, Identity One has elected to take immediate steps to address this for users of software predating the 2023 versions, including providing desktop client upgrade paths for system administrators and mobile application validation mode configuration changes.

For FIPSlink desktop users, please contact Identity One support at Support@identityone.net to determine an upgrade path to get your system to the latest version of FIPSlink.

For FIPSlink mobile users of HID Verifier Sentry 2, please upgrade to FIPSlink Server version 2023.12.2. An additional patch will be provided in the near future.

  3. For each mobile device, select it then click the ‘Edit’ button to modify the client’s settings.
  4. Navigate to the ‘Validator configuration’ page.
  5. Under the ‘TWIC credential offline validation mode’ section, select 'Mode 2’.
  6. Click the ‘Finish’ button.
